So the best thing I can do is list receipts. Here are mine: 5 monetized channels doing around $40k a month between them, off 1.4 billion views, without ever having to show my face. All in 2 years.
My first channel took a full year of posting before YouTube paid me a dime, back when I was 4 years into a $15/hr retail job with $18 in my account. My second channel only took 2 months. By then I'd worked out the pattern underneath the videos that actually get watched, and that very pattern is what I've been teaching ever since.
Which is why my students' numbers say so much. We're talking guys who had one video sitting on 8 views, or a channel that had been stuck at 30k views for months, and within a few months they were monetized and making enough to walk away from their jobs.
